donate (optional) Any items not picked up during consignor pick up times will be donated.
price [ Price Guide ] You set your own price on all items. Price to sell! Generally items sell for 1/3 - 3/4 of the original price, depending on name brand and condition. Better brand names, unique items, or high price items usually bring more. Ask yourself "What would I pay for this item?
discount (optional) Please be selective on the items that you decide not to discount, since items with no stars tend to sell better on the discount days. If you are donating your items at the end of the sale, please make sure you select the reduce option within the myjbftags software.
tagging with safety pins Please use 1" or larger safety pins: no straight pins or small gold ones. Remember all multi-piece clothing items must be safety pinned together through all pieces. This will prevent your items from separating.
tagging with a tagging gun We highly recommend the use of using a tagging gun! It is much quicker, and it leaves almost no markings from the tags this way. If you are interested in ordering a tag gun, we have a JBF suggested tagging gun packet referenced here that you can purchase. It includes: - One new Standard Needle Gun with needle
- 500 - 1 1/2 inch barbs
- 500 - 2 inch barbs
- 5 extra needles
- 25 sheets of white cardstock

tag location Attach card with either the tagging gun or the safety pins to the label of the shirt or pants. If you use a tag gun please insert the gun in a label or inside seam NOT through part of the clothing (to avoid making a hole or tear in the clothing). Also, pull on the tag to make sure it is properly secured and will not come off easily. Please make sure your JBF consignor tags are pulled out of the clothing so they are easily visible to the customers.
tagging toys and baby equipment Fasten tags securely to your items with clear mailing tape; do not use scotch tape. You can also punch a hole in the top of your JBF tag and attach the tag securely with ribbon or string. Zip ties are great and useful for attaching tags and multiple items together (can be purchased at a local hardware store, discount stores, or wholesale stores).
tagging toys and equipment...with multiple items For items with multiples pieces, put a tag on each piece. Barcode the first tag with all of the necessary information as normal but include "1 of X", (X is the number of pieces). Handwrite all of the other tags, write your consignor number, the description, and "2 of X", etc. Barcode the first tag ONLY, all other tags should be hand written. Please do not put the price on any other tags, but the first one. Only use multiple tags for items that belong together. Please do not do this for clothing items, clothing sets should be pinned together with one tag on the front.
tagging shoes Please limit to your 5 best. Make sure that the shoes are clean, clean, clean! Fasten shoes together with ribbon, string, or Zip ties by punching a hole in the top of your tag and attaching the tag. You may also add a hole reinforcer to your tag to make sure the tag is not torn off. (a piece of tape will do just fine!) Highly recommend putting them in zip-lock backs. Keeps them clean and they don't get separated this way!
hanging instructions Hang size 0-6 garments on plastic child size hangers. Larger clothing (usually size 7-14) should be hung on adult size plastic hangers, to prevent item from falling off of hanger. All garments should be hung with the hanger hook pointing left (hanger should resemble a question mark when looking at the front of item). Safety pin clothing sets securely with pants hung on the backside of the shirt, so both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them. Safety pin through BOTH pieces AND through the hanger (this will prevent pants from weighing down the shirt and causing a possible tear). Please safety pin pants to the top part of the hanger so the garment will not slide.
hangers Please use plastic child size tube hangers, child size plastic coated wire hangers, or discarded department store hangers. You may attach pants to wire hangers if needed when safety pins will not fit over tube hangers. Remember to safety pin pants to the top part of the hanger so the garment will not slide. The best hangers to use for pants are clip hangers used in department stores. Best deal on hangers are the kids wire hangers at Walmart. Get them early, as "consignment season" nears, these sell out quickly.
sort Please have your clothes sorted by size and gender. This will make drop off easier and faster for you. We suggest putting a rubberband the grouped sizes that belong to each other.
